Design Community A Buzz From Eco Coke Bottle Design

In just a matter of days – young Andrew Kim‘s  midterm project for his semester 2, freshman product design studio II class at CCS is making waves in the design community. Using Adobe Photoshop for Renders / Graphics and dense foam for mockups, his fresh look and responsible carbon-footprint reducing design could change the soda/bottled water industry and the impact the current packaging has on our environment.
Whether or not any corporate execs are paying attention and we see Coca-Cola or Pepsi step up to the plate to implement Andrew Kim‘s eco responsible design is the real question.
Considering Americans throw away 2.5 Million Plastic bottles every hour . . . you may be seeing a lot more of young Andrew Kim.
My guess is it will be a race to see which company (Coke or Pepsi) is more eco-friendly and who goes down in history for revolutionizing the way we consume bottled water & soda.

This is absolutely amazing stuff. Good to see one of the soda companies becoming more ECO-anything.

This is only a student design, it's not by the company, but let's hope they do pay attention.
