A little from column A and a little from column B. Like I said, they really seem to be losing focus. I think they should spend less time taking on social media and spend more time keeping an eye on Microsoft. If they're not careful, Bing could begin to pick up some real steam.

Wow, it seems odd to me that when I do as they request and go to buzz.google.com from my phone, they do not recognize my UA.
My recent post <a href="http:\/\/www.awebguy.com\/2010\/02\/shove-your-followers-i-want-disciples\/" target="_blank">Shove Your Followers, I Want Disciples!</a>

I think Google has enough in their labs to work on without trying to be something they are not. I love Google for what it is, but I am not a fan of these little flashes in the pan that are markets clearly already covered with abundance. It seems that the big Wave turned into a small Buzz. They should know better.

Interesting. It looks like Google is trying to combine Facebook and twitter to make it on the go...without the profile "page". It's not the worst idea. Especially since I don't even know what Wave really was. It must be better than that.

Anyone else get the feeling that Google either

a. wants to take over the universe

or

b. is bored

Good perspective and a great lesson on what happens when companies stay too far from their core competencies.

I have recently been using Gmail to segment some of my e-mail away from Outlook which I use with a MS Exchange Server in order to access my contacts and calendar on my iPhone and the 'Net. It seems there are a lot of interesting features to Gmail but also a need for some add-ons like MailBrowser to make it a really robust e-mail client. Adding something like Buzz to Gmail seems pretty superfluous.

I'm with you. Just because they're GOOGLE doesn't mean they have to become a "me, too" kinda company.
