I buzzed up the story, I don't know is that ironic or something? Anyway, the first thought I had when I heard that Google's new service was named Buzz was the same, how is that now confusing with Yahoo! buzz? I suppose for those already committed to GMail it might make a sense as a feature but does it do anything for you if you have no GMail presence? Doesn't seem like it.

I agree. Google has a lot of great products, but they look silly if not sinister when they keep trying so hard to be what they are not.
My recent post <a href="http:\/\/www.awebguy.com\/2010\/02\/shove-your-followers-i-want-disciples\/" target="_blank">Shove Your Followers, I Want Disciples!</a>

I just think that all the smart people jumped ship to form new start-ups. Between this and Wave, Google is really losing focus.

I dunno. GMail is enough of a timesuck without having built-in Twitter functionality. Which it did if you ever used the i.Google portal with the Twitter add-on.

Plus, as committed as I am to GMail, I'm also committed to Facebook and Twitter. I don't seen anything in here that I can't get from one of the major Twitter clients.

And thanks for buzzing up the story. It's not ironic - it's meta. Pass it around and thanks for reading.
