Great News! Your Dog Can Tweet For Real! (Note Sarcasm)
If you know me at all you know that I am a big fan of Twiiter. Over the past year I have use Twitter mostly for business and have a great return on my investment (that investment is in the form of time + a small amount of money). I am aware that people use Twitter for all sorts of reasons, some are on for business, others for pleasure. Some use it to stay in touch with friends while others use it for an information source. The beauty of Twiiter is that there is something out there for everyone.
One Twitter use that confuses me however is when pet owners Tweet for their pets. Well, actually, I do get, it I just don’t partake nor do I follow any pets. But for those of you who are all about the pet tweets you need to check this out. Mattel has come up with a pet collar that Tweets for your pet.
The product is called Puppy Tweets, and it hangs from your pet’s collar. It is being billed as one of the “it” toys at the NY Toy Fair. Mattel claims that Puppy Tweets can detect 500 different activities to tweet about. Tweets like: “It’s not the catching of the tail, it’s the chase,” and “Guess what I’m licking right now.”
I think that this can only work against Twitters reputation, so it’s a good thing that it is as strong as it is. I suppose that entertainment is all part of the beautify of Twitter and far be it from me to tell you what is a valuable tweet and what isn’t, but just know that I won’t be following your pets and my pets will never be on Twitter!
