Portal 2: This Cake is No Lie

After some cryptic hints left in the underbelly of an update to Portal on March 1st, Game Informer confirms, via their released April cover (seen left): Portal 2 exists. Listen guys: Heck yes.

The only problem with the original game was that it was simply too short. Of course, the game could go on for weeks, I’d still love it. So the news of a second Portal is unparalleled happiness for me. On an unrelated note, I need a girlfriend.

Of course, we could be happy with just some more of the same game. But this is Valve. The minimum expected is not enough. So they’ve added some killer-sounding new features. Including a separate, cooperative campaign that “will require [players] to not just act cooperatively, but to think cooperatively,” as well as the addition of several new characters and the return of GLaDOS. GameStop lists the product as shipping October 26th.

Oh, yes, this news is good for all of us. Except the ones who are dead.
