Ron Jeremy Says ‘Pirating Porn is Immoral’

Porn is not immoral, but piracy is, was the firm message being delivered by Adult industry star Ron Jeremy as he spoke to TG Daily in Las Vegas.

Jeremy noted that whilst the Internet was once useful, it is now damaging the industry by allowing people to host free or pirated porn on sites like YouPorn and PornTube.

“People don’t care because they say, ‘ah, well, it’s just porn,’ but piracy is piracy, whether the film is PG, R or X. We deserve respect too,” said Jeremy, clearly unhappy getting ‘screwed over’, so to speak.

“Nobody cares,” lamented Jeremy shaking his head as he decried both the sites that hosted pirated content and those who downloaded it illegally, adding “The future’s not that bright. It will get brighter eventually but we have a big problem with piracy.”

Jeremy went on to lambast internet scammers and streamers alike, singling out Nigerians and Russians as the source of most Internet related woes.

“How many people fall for that? For those letters from Nigerian banks? You have a checkingaccount? You’re rich? You’re still not safe. Someone asks you for the details you probably won’t give it to them but your grandparents, your grandparents might fall for that,” he said, adding “it’s the saddest thing I ever heard.”

“A lot of foreigners, and I won’t mention names, Russians, are coming to America and there are a lot, a lot, a lot of people who know how to use Wi-Fi, Internet, satellite to gather personal information about people and scam or steal. Russian.”

To clear up any misunderstanding, Jeremy added, “I don’t want to sound racist, because I am Russian, or at least my ancestors were Russian.”

But back then, we can only assume there was no Internet in the shtetl for great grandfather Jeremy to download pirated porn.

Curses of this modern day world, indeed.

    I heard a great quote from a female porn star, lamenting the piracy of porn as cutting into her job security, the quote went something like, "If people don't pay for porn, there aren't going to be any girls willing to take on four guys at once anymore."

    I don't think it would be a bad thing if the only porn people could download for free was from people who aren't surgically altered to overemphasize specific body parts.

    If people watched videos of what their completely average neighbors were doing in their completely average bedroom instead of what freakish actors are paid to do on a movie set, society would have more realistic expectations of what sex between a loving couple looks like.

    Piracy is piracy. Youporn isn't a service…it's the same as any movie site that gets closed down. People just don't care about porn like they care about "normal" things. If Youporn was illegally airing some other market's content, then the RIAA would be all over it. In the end there really is no difference between "Transformers" and "Debby Does Dallas"…they are both films with the same rights.

    Of course they are. The internet makes sure that anyone can be a porn star, willing or not. (Just ask Pam Anderson, or Paris Hilton, or Erin Andrews, or Colin Farrell, Rob Lowe, Fred Durst, etc, etc. etc.)

    And, let's not forget that there are people who have a subtle (or not so subtle) kink about being recorded and watched by others. Let the people who do it for fun (rather than money as their primary motivator) take over. They might not have fake boobs, liposuctioned stomachs, and makeup on their balloon-knot — but it's certainly more realistic than what these porn producers are cranking out.

    Ron Jeremy has made his money. Pirating anything can be considered immoral. There are so many porn sites that if it were film or straight to the internet it's going to end up everywhere. It's the nature of the web. As far as porn being immoral… imagine yourself someone who can't get laid often enough, or at all, you'd get a bit… testy? after a while.
