Rumor: Yellow Screens Kill iMac Production
According to Hardmac, production of the long-delayed 27″ iMac (Apple’s current flagship model) has been temporarily halted. Users have reported yellow-tinted screens and, in some cases, cracked or damaged screens.
According to Hardmac sources, Apple has stopped manufacturing of 27″ iMac until they can fix issues relating to flickering, flashing, and yellowing.
Apple, meantime, is citing high consumer demand for the shipping delays. Of course, it could be worse; the graphics accelerator could be prone to sticking.
