The Dark Side of… Nintendo? Pink Floyd’s Classic Arranged for NES.

Mario loves to get stoned and listen to this.

This is either the one of the coolest, or geekiest things I’ve ever seen. Dark Side of the Moon, Nintendo style.

Have you ever wondered what Dark Side of the Moon would sound like if Pink Floyd had written it for NES?  Well, here, it is.  Brad Smith, the mastermind behind this, has a modest website set up for it where you can download the “Dark Side of Nintendo” complete mp3 albums.  No expansion chips were used to render this sound; this album works entirely within the limits of the standard North American NES.  They used the following plugins, Famitracker, NSFplug and Audacityto make this magic happen.

This is hauntingly good.  Here are a couple videos.  Id recommend downloading the mp3 files.
