The Truth About Aliens
In yet another example of cutting edge investigative journalism, CNN asks the question Aliens: Fantasy or Reality? Given the choice of course I prefer the latter. And I’m not alone. Online forums have bandied this question about for years and the answer seems to be a resounding “Aliens? Heck Yes!”
In fact, aliens have been on the mind of CNN and its readers since at least 1997, when according to a CNN/Time poll over 64% of respondents indicated that they believed that humans had been abducted and 37% believed that they had contacted the government. Interestingly enough, since 2004, it has also been widely speculated that aliens are actually running the government. And as recently as late last year, Morena Baccarin, the actress who plays alien leader “Anna” in the television series “V,” expressed a strong desire to meet government officials, namely President Barack Obama.
But aliens might not be the peace-loving, happy-go-lucky extraterrestrials that they’ve been portrayed as in movies like ET: The Extraterrestrial. Avatar director James Cameron, likes his aliens weird. And a significant study, by leading researcher Sally Suddock reveals a more sinister intent: a “goal oriented, planned program with the ultimate purpose of spreading alien hybrids laterally through the Earth’s population.” There has been some speculation on the mechanism to achieve this penetration, but a reliable online source seems to indicate that jelly donuts are involved.
So what should you do if aliens should decide to interrupt your day? The CNN story wisely advises caution and highlights that hanging up the phone might be the best plan if E.T. should call. Finally they conclude that it might be better if we find them before they find us. Sage advice from one of the world’s top news reporting agencies.
