Windows Mobile 7 Specs and Release Guesstimates

Mock up

Look like MS is gearing up for the first showing of Windows Mobile 7 sometime next month with a release at the end of 2010 according to CNET and Digitimes.

Windows Mobile 6 is terrible, or at least terribly bland.  Most people agree.  Most also agree that Windows 7 is an amazingly far jump from the debacle that was Vista.

Here’s hoping that Windows Mobile 7 takes after it’s big brother.

Below are some leaked specs for the minimum phone hardware girth needed to run Win Mobile 7, Tweeted by Eldar Murtazin, of Mobile-Review via Gizmodo:

1GHz processor
3.6-inch WVGA display
G-sensor accelerometer and compass
8GB of internal storage
5.0-megapixel camera

Beefy.  Let’s hope they stick.

If it's anything like Win7, it could be good.
