Dan J Brady has been in the industry for over 15 years. Due to being rather OCD about research into every nook and cranny of the latest tech, DJ is full of bizarre knowledge that may or may not be relevant to, well, anything. He has attended CES, E3 and GDC (upcoming) trade shows for years. Once upon a time he managed a local overseas importing video game shop, eventually a Gamestop, and at another time wrote for an insider trade magazine called “The VideoGame Advisor”. You can contact him at Djbrady@mobilelocalsocial.com and on Twitter @ZenInsight (he comments here under this name too)

Matthew Baron is an industry outsider, internet gadfly, and nerd of legendary proportions by his own profession. When working in the technology field, managing a Software Etc., he refused to sell PlayStations to parents for their 6 year-olds. While exploring the night life of New York City and indulging in his love of all things electronic, he is currently designing his fourth Star Wars tattoo, and staying remarkably sober. The first computer he used was an Apple IIc., owned was a Commodore 64, and still harbors a love for M.U.L.E. and the legendary cassette drive. He has used, owned, and driven into the ground every model of IBM-based architecture starting with the x286. Being platform-agnostic in all aspects, he runs Windows 7 on a VAIO, Snow Leopard on a MacBook Pro, and Ubuntu on an eeePC. He owns a XBox 360 for gaming, PlayStation 3 for watching movies, and a Nintendo Wii to tell him he is overweight.
You can contact Matthew via electronic mail at and follow him on the Twitters @OMG_Ponies, but you can NOT follow him on Facebook, because he dropped them like a bad habit.

“Canoehead” – John J. Guinness is a pseudonym for a dude playin’ a dude, disguised as another dude. Actually, the name is a tribute to the real author’s love of a certain beer from Ireland and devotion to a certain science fiction franchise featuring a certain classically trained actor. In reality he is just another corporate wage slave with a law degree and the dubious distinction of having served in the Canadian Army for approximately a decade. A lifelong fan of technology and gadgets, and an an admitted devotee of really bad cinema, he plans to use this site as a platform to pontificate on computers, photography, current events, pop culture and the pratfalls of being a new father. In his copious free time, he also comments on Gizmodo and other web sites as “Canoehead”.

Bob Svenoe is a professional amateur. Self-taught in many areas including computer assembly and repair, special effects, and most of all humor. He’s also a professionally trained video editor, and he can also do that thing where you roll a quarter over your knuckles. He’s a huge movie buff. There’s nothing he won’t watch. And if you have to ask, yes. It was sarcasm.
